We're very grateful for all the support say McCanns

Speaking at the weekend following a vigil in the Algarve for the safe return of his daughter, Mr McCann said: "We are very grateful for all the support. The support does help. The campaign is nothing without public support. We are always touched when people show they care. Thank you."

The vigil was held just before Mr McCann flew to Washington to meet US Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and experts at both the National and International Centres for Missing and Exploited Children, in a bid to understand the work being carried out to reduce child abductions around the world.

Earlier this month he and his wife flew to London to visit Ulsterman Jim Gamble - head of the Child Exploitation and On-Line Protection Centre (CEOP) - whose team is helping in the search for Madeleine.

Although Madeleine was abducted almost three months ago, the case still has a high profile in the Algarve.

Posters and photographs of the missing child are displayed in many shop windows, bars and restaurants at resorts in and around Praia de Luz.

Parents of missing Madeleine visit Morocco

LONDON (Reuters) - The parents of missing Madeleine McCann have taken their search to Morocco in the latest of a series of visits to raise awareness of their daughter's disappearance five weeks ago.

Kate and Gerry McCann flew from Lisbon to Casablanca on Sunday before travelling on to the Moroccan capital of Rabat.

The couple plan to visit a number of child welfare groups and meet Interior Minister, Chakib Benmoussa.

It is the latest country they have visited as part of their high-profile campaign to find four-year-old Madeleine, who was abducted from a holiday villa in the Algarve on May 3.

They have already gone to Germany and the Netherlands -- targeting the two countries because the Germans and Dutch are among the largest groups of foreign tourists in the Algarve, after Britons.

The McCanns have also taken their appeal to Spain and met the Pope during a general audience at the Vatican.

The couple intend to meet Fatima Hassar, president of the Moroccan League for the Protection of Children, and visit the National Observatory for Children's Rights on Monday morning said a spokesman for the McCanns.

The McCanns plan to return to Portugal on Tuesday, where they intend to stay for the summer, the spokesman said. Media reports over the weekend suggested Gerry McCann was preparing to leave the Algarve and return to Britain after the Morocco trip.

Somebody Knows Who Has Madeleine

The parents of Madeleine McCann have dismissed claims they were involved in her disappearance - and called on the German people to help in the search.

n a press conference in Germany they also urged the public to come forward with information.

"Somebody knows who has Madeleine - we want to reach the public.

"Somebody can help us find her. Just one telephone call... either a location or a name."

Gerry and Kate McCann are in Berlin to promote the hunt for their four-year-old, who was kidnapped 34 days ago in the Algarve.

"We want to ask for any tourists from Germany who were in Praia da Luz in the two weeks leading up to May 3, if you have any digital photos to send them to the website - www.madeleine.ceopupload.com"

When asked about the campaign, Mr McCann said: "We hope and pray every single day that this finishes and that Madeleine is returned to us safely.

"We don't want a long-term campaign - we just want her back."

Their visit - which has provoked considerable interest - coincides with the first day of the G8 summit in Heiligendamm near Rostock in the north of the country.

Open Letter

TO ALL IMAGE SATELLITE PROVIDERS OF THE WORLD:

Three years hold Madeleine McCann is disaperead since May 3 about 10 pm form her room in the Oceans Club resort in Praia da Luz, near Lagos, Portugal.

The police his making all the efforts to find any clues about her whereabout but don´t seem they are doing significant improvements on the case.

So, we need all the data that we can get to boost this investigation. One of such valuable piece of data would be from a satellite images source.

Nour days, satellites have a full of comercial and military applications, so why not to put them to use on such an humanity propose. If we can spot through them the movements of sorts in foreign countries in real time, maybe we can get from them also the extra clue that would lead to a viable track on the course of the investigation.

The so called web 2.0 phenomenom is all about community and social interaction. In http://helpfindmaddie.wiki-site.com we hope to gather a vast number of volunteers to help scan this raw data that you could provide us, so help us God.

Help Madeleine

Madeleine McCann is a tree year hold who was kidnapped when her parents were dining on May 3 at night in a resort on Praia da Luz, Algarve, Portugal.

This blog is an effort to bring people to action and try helping find Madeleine. Everybody is welcome to provide clues, suggestions, and everything that can help. We hope to aggregate the maxim number of people worldwide to the cause; your time could be a valuable resource that can make this endeavour that we are committing ourselfs to possible.

So, what can we do?

First, see the available pictures of Madeleine; if you think that you spot her anywhere contact the local police or the Interpol. This is especially important if you live in Algarve. Also, the police has a clue that the kidnapper may be of british nationality because Madeline is also from there and the resort were she was abrupted is a property of a british and is highly frequented by the british.

If we were nearby Praia da Luz on the day she was missing at around 10 pm and if you took cellphone/digital camera pictures try to find something in them that could bring to a clue and send them to the police.

We pretend to begin an international effort of scanning satellite images from Google Earth or from any other source or entity, private or publicly held, that has access to satellite imagery and wish to donate us his assets with respect to the local of the scene.

All this could be acomplished at our wiki at http://helpfindmaddie.wiki-site.com

A group of volunteers his helping the police to scan the area; if you are available and wish to join this effort and have the means to do it feel free to apply.
